About us

An office on the street that wanted to go unnoticed

Inkognito Eiendomsmegling is based at Inkognitogata 24 in Frogner, Oslo. Today the office trades as EIE Solli & Frogner, part of EIE eiendomsmegling.

The name · 1752

Unknown.
Unnoticed.

In 1752, auction director Peter Henrik Barclay bought a plot of land behind the city — løkke no. 15 in the town fields. He named it “Incognito”. Here he could retreat from the noise of the city.

The estate grew to 123 decares. The street named after it in 1866 runs from Uranienborgveien to Henrik Ibsens gate — and at number 24 you will find our office. We kept the name, and its meaning: discretion until it matters, full visibility when your home goes on the market.
